I love this word picture of God as a “mighty savior” who calms my fears and is so happy to be with me that He sings! I especially love the word “mighty” in this verse. That’s Jesus! He is mighty in every way and wants to comfort and protect us, if we would let Him. Not only does He want to protect and comfort us from outside threats, but from threats that come from within ourselves as well. Our fears. The love of Jesus calms our fears. When we know that our “Mighty Savior” loves us and is protecting us, what could we possibly be afraid of? He is in control. He works everything out for good, and He loves us who are in relationship with Him.
Know that your “Mighty Savior” is with you always. Know that He loves you and don’t be afraid. Know that He rejoices and sings over you, and delight in Him as He delights in you. Enjoy the love of the Lord!
