The Beginning of Contentment
”The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing.” -Psalm 34:10
I believe the beginning of contentment is realizing that when we have the Lord in our life and on our side, we need nothing else. Do you spend time every day seeking the Lord and His will for you for that day? It’s so easy for us to go on automatic and follow our own agendas for the day. Seek God today, and ask Him what He would like to see your day look like. Write down what you believe He reveals to your heart, and follow His plan to contentment.
Thank You, Father, for providing me with every good thing I need. Help me to remember that Your will for my life, and Your daily agenda, is much more fulfilling and leads to greater contentment, than when I follow my own selfish desires. Guide and direct me today, Lord. I ask it in the precious name of Jesus, Amen!
