But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was whipped so we could be healed. This is my Jesus, Whom I love and serve. -Just Jesus Devotional

Since coming to know Jesus I have lost a few relationships.  People who, for one reason or another, couldn’t tolerate my “Jesus talk”.  I talked about Him like He was in the room, or like He was a big part of my life – which He is both . . . all the time.  I’ve been called “Preacher” and “Jesus freak”.  Some of my siblings (I have five) haven’t spoken to me in years.  I’m okay with all of that.  None of these people who judge and/or ridicule me, and disown me, have done anywhere near as much as Jesus has done for me.  No one on this planet deserves more loyalty than my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He SUFFERED terribly and DIED for me!  And that’s not all!  He rescued me from eternal damnation!  He picked me up out of a life of sin, confusion, and downright ugliness and gave me hope and a future.  He has healed me emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  He is always there for me with; comfort, peace, strength, direction, correction, whatever I need.  Humans break my heart and Jesus fixes it.  Who would YOU be more loyal to?

It makes me sad when talking about my Jesus offends people or makes them uncomfortable, or makes them not like me.  But, I’m not here to be liked or make people happy.  I’m here to love, serve, and glorify God.  If that makes some people happy along the way, then praise be to God!  I like seeing people happy.  God likes seeing people happy.  That’s just not the ultimate goal.  Seeing people filled with the joy of Christ, saved from the penalty of their sin, and glorifying God.  That’s the ultimate goal.

Regardless of my physical condition here on this sin-filled planet, my soul is forever healed because of the suffering that Jesus endured on my behalf.  He paid my penalty for me and gave me eternal life!  This is my Jesus whom I love and serve, and to whom I devote my life and loyalty!  He deserves nothing less and so much more!
